The Penny Chronicles; a play of many acts, several cities &infinite cups of tea.  I just quoted a trashy pullout from 'Marie Claire' in my essay. Who else gets to quote Marie Claire in their essay? i love my subject.... Anyway, I'm trying out for University Challenge tonight. Wish me luck! This is a sneaky little fixation I'm working on, having sadly been quiz team leader of juniour university challenge for four years and I'll stop now. We were a GOOD team, but RGS guildford always beat us, smarmy bespectacled pre-pubescent bastards that they were. Going back to essay now. going back to essay now. going back to essay now. Current mood:  busy.Current music: Bjork, 'Violently Happy'. Look! I'm really getting the hang of this! And yesterday someone told me how to add people, so I shall be doing that too pretty soon.... Last night I interviewed WILL SELF for the Oxstu, then ate proplus and sat up till one producing 1,500 words of half -decent copy. the chap was woefully late and charmingly self-deprecating, but I'm sure that was all part of the act...anyway, if you can, read the Oxstu. Back in days of yore I was a ruthless left-wing editor-come-tyrant of our school's semi-underground paper, and I MISS it. I just love the whole journalist buzz, I can't explain why. A columnist, a columnist, I'm going to be a columnist! And even MORE exciting, Cath and me are going to Europe to have MARVELLOUS ADVENTURES. And I'm in love. With a wonder.full strange young man, with stories, and with my life - the latter being the most masochistic and traumatic relationship by far, of course, but still, hurrah! This is going to be a much better week than the last few. And it's only Tuesday morning! I don't put 'Love Laurie,' do I? No, I'm fairly sure I don't.... Why, hello *waves hopefully into the electronic ether* This is my firstest post on livejournal. See, I'm becoming all technomalogical! (and no, I still haven't worked out how to put the pictures up...) I've spent an obscene amount of time getting this set up, I really AM going to go and do my Marxist Theory essay now.
